Obituary

Wesley John Hinkley, 67, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026. He was born on April 28, 1959.

Wesley was a hardworking, strong-willed man who lived life on his own terms. He was stubborn in the best—and sometimes most memorable—way, and he was never one to hold back what was on his mind. A true spitfire, Wesley had a personality that made him impossible to forget.

For most of his life, Wesley worked as a glazer, taking pride in his work and providing for his family. At one point, he was also a business owner, building something of his own through his hard work and determination.

Wesley had a lifelong love of cars. He enjoyed working on them and spent countless hours turning his passion and knowledge into something he loved doing. Toward the end of his life, he discovered a new hobby in building car models, giving him another way to enjoy the cars he had always loved.

Above all, Wesley was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Hinkley, with whom he shared the last 30 years of his life; his children, Elizabeth Hinkley, Amanda Percentie, Caitlin Permenter, and Wesley Hinkley Jr.; and his three beloved nieces, Audra Meagher, Allison Stiles, and Adrienne Meagher and his grandchildren Ceanna Hinkley, Jacob Hinkley and Hunter Permenter Jr. He also leaves behind many loved ones and friends who will remember him for his hard work, strong personality, and the unmistakable way he lived his life.

Though Wesley has left this world, he is reunited in heaven with loved ones who went before him, including his beloved sisters, Wanda Hinkley and Laura Minard, and his mother, Reatha Hinkley. Their memories and the love they shared will forever remain a part of his story, bringing comfort to those who cherish them all.

Wesley may have been stubborn, outspoken, and a little bit of a spitfire, but he was also hardworking, passionate, and deeply loved. His memory will live on through his family, the things he taught them, the stories they share, and the love he leaves behind. Though his family must now learn to live without his presence here on earth, they can find comfort in knowing that the love they shared will never fade and that, one day, they may be reunited again.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
