Wesley Ronald Jennings, passed away peacefully beside his loved ones on the morning of Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Ron was born in Canon City, CO on November 18, 1944. He was the son of late Wesley Ross Jennings and Katherine Butz. A proud Wildcat, Ron graduated from the University of Arizona and then graduated from Arizona State University Law School. After law school, Ron worked as a Special Agent for the FBI for 5 years. He then went to the U.S Attorney’s Office in Arizona where he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney and eventually served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney. After a long career in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he worked briefly in private practice. Ron returned as a federal prosecutor to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the USVI where he eventually served as the United States Attorney. After five years in the USVI, he returned to the States as a federal prosecutor in Florida and New Mexico. He loved the White Mountains of Arizona and retired there and eventually moved to Florida with his wife where they resided for ten years.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Janice, and children Craig, Krista and Stacy; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother.

A catholic mass will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 at 1 pm; at St. Jude’s Catholic Community, 443 Marion Oaks Drive, Ocala, FL 34473

A “Remembrance” will honor Ron on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at SummerGlen Golf & Country Club, from 11am – 1 pm. For directions please call Krista Tanner 407-488-5340.
