Wilbur E. Biemesderfer (Bill/Bud), age 82 , passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, holding his wife's hand and surrounded by his loving family. He had been a resident of The Villages, Florida, since 2010.

Born on July 10, 1942, in Marble Cliff, Ohio, to Wilbur A. and Stella Biemesderfer, Wilbur—known as Bill or Bud to those who knew him—was a proud graduate of Franklin Heights High School and Franklin University. He enjoyed a distinguished career as Director of Media Distribution & Technical Services at The Ohio State University, followed by his work in the printing industry as an owner of Anchor Press in Columbus, Ohio.
He was admired for his knowledge, strength, handyman skills, and unwavering support of both his family and his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. A member of the Brotherhood of Blue Geese, he often shared fond memories of adventures with lifelong friends. He especially cherished the years spent raising his family in Sycamore Hills.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Delores. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 wonderful years, Jackie, and their four children: Beth (Eric Bowen), Debbi (Jeff Jewett), Kelly (Jason Hand), and Brian (Rochelle Biemesderfer). He was a cherished grandfather to Brittany (Michael Myers), Tyler and Evan Bowen, Skye and Dresden Biemesderfer, and a proud great-grandfather to Lincoln and Lucas Myers.
Family was the cornerstone of Wilbur's life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family members including Marilynn (Walton) Garner, Blake (Joanne) Avenmarg, Richard (Renee) Garner, Robert (Jennifer) Garner, Susan (Patrick) Fallon, Andrea (Jim) Christgau, David (Kathy) Garner, Susan (Michael) Henderson, and many more.
Details regarding visitation and funeral services will be shared by the family in due course. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Wilbur (Bill/Bud) lived a life that was a testament to the power of family and love. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched and leaves behind a legacy of wit and humor that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
