Life Celebration for Willem Smeets, 94, New Smyrna Beach who died Sunday, June 9, 2013 will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL . Will was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands and served in the Dutch military.  He worked as a telecommunications engineer for various aerospace companies worldwide including McDonnell-Douglass, NASA and General Electric. He and his late wife Maria settled in New Smyrna Beach following retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Elja Collins, Yvonne Robinson, Nanette CM Van Dooren, W P J Smeets, Eric Smeets, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
