William L "Bill" Gipson, 83, of The Villages, FL passed away on March 26, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages with his wife at his side.  Bill was born the 3 ^rd of 4 to Jesse and Vera Gipson on 5-29-1934.  During his early years Bill and his sister did acrobatic dancing. After 2 years in the Army, he became a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios.  Before coming to The Villages he owned a country western bar in California. After retiring to The Villages he worked 15 years for The Villages Golf Division as a starter/ambassador at Tierra Del Sol and Hacienda Hills Golf Courses.  Bill was an avid golfer, poker player and lover of animals including his beloved Mickey.  Bill is survived by his loving wife Carolyn; daughter, Kelly (Bob) Lind of Rhode Island; granddaughter, Brandy (Travis) Stiles of California; stepson, Breck Rushing of Missouri and several grand and great grandchildren.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 sons.  A celebration of life memorial service will be held 10 am, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Community United Methodist Church, 309 College Ave, Fruitland Park, FL 34731.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill's name to The Cured Foundation and to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
