William A. Kanitz

October 24, 1947 – June 13, 2024

William A. Kanitz, passed away peacefully June 13, 2024 at home in the arms of Brunhilde Merker, his life- and business partner for 22 years.

William was President of ScoringAg, ScoringAg-Equipment, Co-Owner of et-sun, Leader in scalable solutions for Agriculture and far beyond. He invented many kinds of equipment that are helpful for operations in the whole food chain

1. ScoringAg a Full-Chain-Traceability and Archiving System.
2. mobile Flat Bed Drying Wagon for crop and seed drying.
3. variations of Hydrocooler-Sanitizer Machines for maintaining the integrity of sanitation.
4. He also invented several different models of TreeSteamer©.
5. different variations of TreeTubes© and agriculture nettings for crop protection.
6. MCF's© Modular Container Facilities© an economic solution for very small and small-size scale farmers, co-op groups and small processors.
7. his latest invention was et-sun Vertical Racking System© for framed and frameless modules

William A. Kanitz is survived by his 2 sons Lee Kanitz of Hessel MI and Brent and wife Christie Kanitz of Midland MI and 4 daughters Becky Weckesser of Hampstead MD, Linnette Kanitz of Hampstead MD Maryland,  Bridget Sutherland of Vernon CT, Lindsey and Nathan Zimmerman of Saint Ignace, Mi and 15 Grandchildren, by his brother Ron Kanitz and his sister Bonnie Kanitz MI.

William was preceded in death by his son Ross Kanitz (1995), his parents Toni and Kenneth Kanitz.

He is resting in peace next to his son Ross at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in     Moran, Mackinac County, Michigan
