Obituary

William Eugene Kirkpatrick, lovingly known to many as “Billy K” passed away on May 14,2026, at the age of 73. To his family, however, he was simply “Pops” – a beloved father, grandfather, and the life of every gathering he walked into.

Born on December 2, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma, William later made Florida his home and graduated from Seminole High School. Throughout his life, he worked as a skilled tool and dye maker and acoustical ceiling installer where his strong work ethic & larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

William was the son of Darrell & Patricia Kirkpatrick and carried with him a spirit that was impossible to ignore. He loved NASCAR, cheered proudly for Gator football, and never missed an opportunity to laugh, joke, and make memories with the people around him. Whether telling stories, making people smile, or bringing energy into every room, Billy K truly lived life on his own terms.

Above all else, William loved his family deeply. He is survived by his son, William T Kirkpatrick (Tawnya) of Deltona, FL; daughter, Heidi Hulker of Lake Mary, FL; daughter Kristi Kirkpatrick (Clay) of St. Joseph, TN; son Timothy Petchak (Jillian) of Mooresville, NC; 8 grandchildren; Kyle & Kody Kirkpatrick, Michayla & Mackenzie Cull, David Hulker, Eli Petchak, Stella & Lincoln Kirkpatrick & 5 great-grandchildren; Ryder, Avery, Madison, Waylon, & Cora.

William’s family and friends will remember him for his unforgettable personality, his love of fun, and the way he made everyone feel like family. Though he will be deeply missed, the stories, the laughter, and memories he created will live on in all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of William’s life will be held by the family at a later date.
