Obituary

William (Bill) Alvin Knight leaves his fingerprints behind on all who loved and treasured him. As a father he was a role model to his children and grandchildren and instilled in them his morals and values. He was steadfast in showing them how to love the ones closest to you, caring with passion, laughing with them and always remembering the things that mattered to each. He demonstrated integrity, kindness, humility and a strong work ethic by holding multiple jobs at once to provide for his family. He was fond of saying, "Work smarter, not harder" when guiding his loved ones. Sometimes he was tough but he was always fair. He was extremely proud of his children and always told them so.

He loved working with his hands and he passed on his love of cars to his children and taught them how to care for them. He could be seen lovingly washing, waxing and caring for his red Dodge truck and the motor home he loved to travel in. In a way he was like his favorite old car, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Classic, simple, yet one-of-a-kind. He offered something for everyone and became a mid-century masterpiece whether he was wearing white socks up to his knees or his black boots and blue hat as a crown. Even the nurse told his son, "They don't make them like him anymore." It isn't wealth that defined Bill, it was the love that everyone had for him.

His legacy includes his companion of over 20 years, Elizabeth Barcheski. Daughter, Linda Wilk (Michael) and their children Michael Wilk Jr. (Amy) and Jennifer Ciupinski (Michael). Daughter, Cindy Sales (Wes) and their children Erika Smith (Steve), Todd Sales (Samantha) and Amanda Martin (Chris). Son, Gary Knight (Rose) and children Tristan Knight (Tina) and Austin Knight. Son, William R. Knight and his children Ida Knight, Ema Knight, Ava Knight and William Knight. Son, Michael Knight (Christy). Elizabeth's son's, Robert Barcheski (Colleen) and children Emily Barcheski and Natalie Barcheski. James Barcheski (Janice) and their children James R. Barcheski (Caitlin) and Jason R. Barcheski. And Elizabeth's grandson Chris Warner. As well as many great grandchildren and relatives too numerous to name. He also leaves behind former spouse's Edith Goodwin and Roberta Knight. He was very loved and will be greatly missed. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Knight (Evans). Siblings Marion Altemose, Raymond A. Knight and Robert Knight. And infant daughter Robin Knight (deceased).
