William A. Liquori, Retired Chief of Police passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 while at home and surrounded by his wife and 3 children. Bill would have been 93 years of age this July.
Chief William A. Liquori retired from the Orlando Police Department as a Deputy Chief in 1982 before joining the Altamonte Springs Police Department. Here he served as Chief of Police for 20 years before retiring in 2002. Chief Liquori served in law enforcement for over 44 years. Chief Liquori was a law enforcement expert, and he was an advocate for modernizing law enforcement and physical fitness standards. He was inducted into the Florida Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame.
William A. Liquori was an accomplished martial artist reaching 10th degree black belt. He formed his own discipline of martial arts, the USA Goju Organization.
William A. Liquori is survived by his wife Linda H. Liquori, his son William Liquori; his daughter Linda J. Pentz (Ted): and his daughter Angela Liquori, along with several Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
Services will be held April 14, 2026 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 4000 S. Atlantic Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169
Burial at Sea to follow at Mary McLeod Bethune Park immediately after. 6656 S. Atlantic Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL.
