William M.
Norman
Oct 21, 1953 — Oct 25, 2026
William M. “Bill” Norman, born October 21, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on October 25, 2026, following a long battle with dementia and kidney disease. He was 72 years old.
Bill attended Suffolk University, where he studied criminal justice, before pursuing a career in public service as a corrections officer with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. He also successfully operated a landscaping business in Massachusetts during the 1990s, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his work.
Outside of his professional life, Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life memorable. An avid golfer, he appreciated time on the course and especially enjoyed sharing cigars with the boys. He loved to travel and treasured the time he spent with those closest to him. His beloved dog, and later his cat, held a special place in his heart. Bill also had a deep appreciation for Frank Sinatra and old-school Massachusetts Mafia history, interests that reflected his distinctive tastes and personality.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Kari Corbett Norman, whom he married in May 2017; his mother, Anita “Dretler” Norman; and his father, Reuben Norman.
He leaves behind his loved ones, including Jonathan Goldman of New Hampshire; his caretaker, Karl Draeger of Florida; cousins Charles (Nancy) Goldman of New Hampshire, Alan (Ellen) Goldman of New Hampshire, Steven Goldman of Nevada, and Lena (Sam) Wasserman of Massachusetts; along with other family members and loved ones who will remember him in their own special ways.
In keeping with the family's wishes, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a local animal shelter in Bill’s honor, reflecting his love for animals.
May Bill be remembered for the life he lived, the people and pets he loved, and the memories he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
