William “Bill” Joseph Singletary, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Ormond Beach, Florida. He was born on September 7, 1937, in Lumberton, North Carolina, to Lee Gray Singletary and Ruth Singletary.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, DiAnn Singletary of Ormond Beach, Florida; his sons, Mark Joseph Singletary (Patrice) of Plant City, Florida, and Robert E. Burkhalter, Jr. of Daytona Beach, Florida, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and his cherished West Highland White Terriers, Laurel Wynd Tala, Laurel Wynd Megee, and Laurel Wynd Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Singletary, his sister Perrin Singletary, and his parents, Lee Gray Singletary and Ruth Singletary.

Bill devoted 34 years of his professional life to SCM Organics, working in Jacksonville and Gainesville, Florida. He also proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy.

An avid golfer and fisherman, Bill enjoyed traveling, meeting new people, and seeing new places. Above all, his life was guided by his faith. He was grateful for every opportunity to serve Jesus by serving others and was always there for his family and friends.

Bill was a humble and caring man who would not have wanted his many accomplishments listed, trusting that his Lord knew his heart and all he had done in service to Christ. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
