William F Srock, 85, New Smyrna Beach FL peacefully passed on October 12, 2011 at Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center Edgewater. Dearest husband of Betty Ann, father of William D and dear daughter-in-law Suzanne both residing in Clawson, MI, dearest grandfather of Kristie and Heidi and his darling great grandchildren Alex, Katelyn, Emma and Madison. Life Celebration will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Trinity Evalgelical Lutheran Church 485 Turnbull Bay Road New Smyrna Beach. Pastor Don Reiter will officiate. Private committal will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando with The Reverend Calvin Gardner officiating. Bill was born in Detroit, MI. He began working as a pinsetter in a bowling alley where he became interested in the sport. He became an active bowler and eventually began competing in league play. He was drafted by the Detroit Thunderbirds, a National Bowling League team and became the General Manager of the League. He later accepted employment with the Brunswick Corporation Advisory Staff. He bowled exhibitions, conducted clinics and developed various promotional programs in 11 foreign countries and 49 States. He, his wife and son later owned and operated North Hill Lanes in Rochester, MI. Bill held affiliations with Detroit News Bowling School, Professional Bowler's Association (Regional Representative), National Bowing Council, Lifetime Sports Foundation (Bowling Director) and President's Council on Physical Fitness.   11:00 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church 485 Turnbull Bay Road New Smyrna Beach FL 32168.
