Winifred (Winnie) C. Lichter of Ocala, Florida went to be with her Lord, on September 26, 2026,

Winnie was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 29, 1945 to Raymond Leonard Metz and Winifred Ann Metz. She was married to the late Alan Lichter in 1984. Winnie graduated from Adelphi University with a Masters Degree in Education.

Winnie’s working career including experience as a teacher, Sales Representative, District Manager, a Florida legal Guardian, and Bookkeeper.

While living in Weston, Florida, Winnie was a founding member of St.Katharine Drexel Catholic Church and the Women of Faith Ministry. She also served as President of the Visions Townhome Community HomeOwners Association Weston, FL for many years.

After relocating to Ocala, Florida in 2017 Winnie became Member/Educator of the Stone Creek Community Emergency Response Team; Member of the Stone Creek Community Activities Advisory Committee; and active resident of the Stone Creek community where she volunteered at the Library, Kitchen Club, and Sociable singles Club; Member of the Florida Thoroughbred Fillies of Ocala; Volunteer for Hospice of Marion County; and contributing and active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Dunnellon, member of the Altar & Rosary Society and volunteer front office clerk.

Winifred C. Lichter is survived by her brother Raymond E.(Judie) Metz, nephews Raymond M. Metz, Robert B.(Kari) Rebhun and nieces Regina M. Frazier, Renee’ M. Metz, April E. (Allen) Fogle and 25 Great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond L. and Winifred A. Metz and her Husband, Alan Lichter

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for October 16, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 11250 SW 93rd Circle Rd, Ocala, FL 34481 and on  October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 7525 S. US Hwy 41, Dunnellon, FL, 34432
