Winona Faye Dooley (known lovingly as Wendy), of Ormond Beach, went home to the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 73. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Halifax Hospice.

Wendy was born in Durham, North Carolina, on May 26, 1951, to Pearl Elizabeth Bennett and James F. Coe. She later made Ormond Beach her home, where she built a life filled with love, faith, and service to others.

Wendy cherished every moment spent with her family, friends, and her church family at Tomoka Christian Church. Known for her radiant smile, she lit up every room she entered and inspired those around her with her unwavering faith, love, and optimism, even in the face of life's challenges. Affectionately called the "cookie girl" at Tuesday morning church, Wendy brought joy and kindness to everyone she encountered. Church was one of her greatest joys, and she rarely missed a service, her faith shining through her dedication and resilience.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Elizabeth Bennett and James F. Coe, as well as her stepmother, Bea Coe. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, James Dooley; her loving children, Carrie Barwick (Donnie), Kelvin Allen (Melissa), Melanie Allen, April Winship (Daniel), and Jaime Henley (Daniel); her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy Morris (Jenilee), Kaitlyn Allen, Danielle Empkie, Kelsey Hamm, Ethan Allen, Ryan Winship, Zachary Henley, and Brooklynn Johnson; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Madison Morris, Grace Morris, Hudson Henley, Noah Gibson, and Cameron Gibson. Wendy is also survived by her siblings, Thomas Carroll, Peggy Dill, Patricia Carter Lewis, and Gail Carter Hitchman.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Tomoka Christian Church, located at 1450 Hand Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Wendy's faith, love, and enduring positivity have left a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
